About

My name is Anthony Guntert.

I'm a sophmore at the Dunn School in Los Olivos, CA. My main hobbies include reading, writing, being sarcastic, creating puns, art, card tricks, creating websites, and arguing. I first became interested in art at the age of four when my parents brought me to the National Gallery and the Tate Modern art galleries in London. I loved looking at all of the different types of paintings and trying to figure out what exactly was happening in them. I have always been fasinated with stories in every form and of any subject. My favorites are hearing the incredible real life stories of my Grandfather and of course, books. This, along with my love for history, has allowed me to really become interested in all types of art, as all art has a story - a history. Analyzing the work, trying to figure out what the work means, what the artist had in mind when he made it...

Since that trip to London, I have been to many other art galleries, including but not limited to: The MOMA in New York - many small independent galleries in Carmel, California - the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. - Le Louvre in Paris, France - The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City - The Vatican Museums, Vatican City, Italy - The Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy - The Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy - the Pitti Palace in Florence, Italy - The Bargello National Museum in Florence, Italy - the Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy - the Doge's Palace in Venice, Italy - the Museo Civico Correr in Venice, Italy - Galleria dell'Academia in Venice Italy.

I hope you enjoy your visit.
